Am I talking about the Doors Glitch entity or an actual glitch? Read this guide to learn more about what the mysterious ‘Glitch’ is.

Doors Glitch Guide

Now, I’m not talking about the type of glitch you might be thinking of. In this guide, I’m discussing the Glitch entity! It looks similar to Seek, with its human-shaped body, but it has a bunch of glitchy squares around it, hence the name. It also has no eyes, so it’s not Sleek, meaning you don’t have to run away when it pops in for a chat.

What Does The Glitch Entity Do?

This entity has a chance to spawn on any floor in the game, including The Backdoor and The Rooms. Interestingly, Glitch appears when a room doesn’t load properly – a unique way for the game to deal with bugs!

To punish you for the issue that isn’t your fault, it attacks you (though doesn’t deal any damage) and sends you to a different room. In fact, in an older version of the game, it dealt around 10 to 40 DMG, which was changed thankfully. While it’s an ‘enemy’, it’s a useful one.

To warn the player of its arrival, a glitchy filter is displayed across your screen before Glitch spawns to whisk you away. If you waste a Revive at the wrong time while Seek is chasing you, Glitch flies in to help – truly a hero.

In short, if you come across the Glitch entity on Floor 1 and Floor 2, you’re okay! It’s just the game’s way of letting you know that a literal glitch has occurred. I quite like how the developers have gone around it, it makes a nice change compared to bugs that just lock your progress.
