What are the Remnant 2 system requirements? Whether you plan on blasting your way through the Root on your own or with friends, you won’t need a hardcore setup to run this sequel to Gunfire Games’ soulslike third-person shooter.

To meet the Remnant 2 minimum requirements you’ll need an Intel Core i5 7600 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor paired with either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics card and at least 16GB of RAM.

The Remnant  2 recommended specs necessitate having an Intel i5 10600k or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, combined with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPU. You won’t need any extra RAM, though, thankfully.

Be wary, as there have been reports of frame rate drops, even if you’re managing to reach the recommended specs with ease. While we don’t know the root of the problem just yet, it is alarming that even powerful pixel-pushing GPUs are showing signs of a struggle.

As it stands, developer Gunfire Games made an announcement on the official Steam page that it will continue to “deliver fixes” for any issues over the coming days and weeks, which includes improving the overall performance of the game. Hopefully, this can help rectify the fame rate drops and other concerns players have been experiencing since the release of Remnant 2.

When it comes to storage, you’ll need to free up 80GB to meet the Remnant 2 size requirements. Unlike the worrying frame rate drops, this isn’t a big deal, and while memory type isn’t mentioned in the specs, an SSD will no doubt be preferable if you want the best possible experience.
