Maze Theory and PlayStation have made an exciting announcement, revealing that the immersive narrative VR game, based on the popular British period crime drama, Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, will finally be available for PlayStation VR2 in its Complete Edition next month, November 2023. This means that all the game’s updates and DLCs previously introduced on other platforms will be readily available on PlayStation VR2 upon release.
In Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, players will step into the gritty criminal underworld of Birmingham and London in 1928. As they uncover a plot threatening the entire nation, players will engage in thrilling, fast-paced shootouts where they will need to improvise to stay alive. Fans of the show will also be delighted as they will have the opportunity to come face to face with iconic characters from the show like Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his hot-headed brother Arthur (Paul Anderson).
Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom tells a standalone storyline separate from the TV series, introducing several entirely new characters, including the protagonist, Sammy Taylor, a WWI veteran on the run from the firing squad. Nonetheless, fans of the hit drama will still experience the sensation of stepping into the show, with familiar locations such as The Garrison Tavern, Charlie’s Yard, and the Shelbys’ Betting Shop.
Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom Complete Edition contains all additional content, including seven narrative combat missions set after the main story. It also includes the Free Roam feature, allowing players to explore Small Heath and Limehouse, take on shooting galleries and combat challenges, and earn item skins and customization options.
