There were several moments of the League of Legends World finals that had me (and the rest of the cinema) stunned into dumbfounded silence. At the end of game one, T1 were looking pretty shaky, but by game two, they were back. Then it was a similar story for games three and four, bringing everything down to the wire with game five. In the middle of the fourth match, however, it felt like something stirred in Faker, who’d been having a relatively rough performance on Yone and Sylas. Something just clicked, and he just transformed into the Unkillable Demon King that we know and love. That toplane 1v1, that glorious midlane flank that effectively ended the series: all roads do, indeed, lead to Faker.
This year marks Faker’s fifth Worlds win; an unparalleled achievement that, yet again, cements him as League of Legends‘ greatest ever player. That’s reflected in-game, too, as he now has five Worlds skins, and the infamous $430 Immortalized Ahri skin (which there are technically two variations of, but that’s me splitting hairs). In total, he has six dedicated skins, which is more than 27 (16%) of the MOBA‘s champions.
Now, it’s worth noting that a lot of these champions are newer (Aurora, Briar, Smolder, for example) so don’t have a huge cosmetic library just yet. Some, however, have been around much longer (Illaoi, Ivern, Kalista) and feel like they should have a few more skins than they currently do.
Below, using data from the League of Legends Wiki and my own game’s Collection tab, I’ve listed all of the champions that Faker currently has more skins than, and even if you take out the Ahri skin and focus entirely on Worlds-specific skins, he’s still beating out 20 champions.

If you remove champions released in the past year (and Ambessa) that brings the total down to 21, but even then, that’s nothing to scoff at. I was a little shocked to see the likes of Aurelion Sol, Illaoi, Ivern, and Kled up in the mix as well, but a quick look at OP.gg tells me that they sit towards the bottom end of the LoL tier list, so that might be why they haven’t received as much love.
During Worlds 2024, Faker ran Galio, Sylas, and Yone, meaning that one of these three champions will get a T1-inspired skin. Faker also won MVP, meaning that, if Riot continues its trend from last year, he’ll add yet another skin to that roster, bringing it up to seven. That adds an extra ten champions (including the likes of Kayn, Tahm Kench, and Viego) to the list above, meaning Faker will have more skins than 37 champions, or 22% of the game’s roster. Not bad.
