Read on to find out about the rod’s stats and how to obtain it.
How to Get the King’s Rod
The King’s Rod is located in Keeper’s Altar!
- Firstly, you need to head to the Statue of Sovereignty in your boat
- When pulling into the island, you need to head up the wooden ladders resting against the rock to enter the Sovereignty Mines
- Speak with the Cole NPC standing by the elevator that takes you to Keeper’s Altar
- Select the “Can I use the elevator” option, then “How much?”
- Cole then tells you that it costs 400 Coins for an Elevator Token
- Walk into the elevator and interact with the Elevator Lever to use the token (each token can only be used once)
- Once you reach Keeper’s Altar, walk left from the elevator and drop down the ledge to spot a skeleton, with a glowing blue rod next to it
- This is the King’s Rod! It costs 120K Coins to unlock
King’s Rod Stats
As for the rod itself, it’s a bit of a hit-and-miss. With a luck boost, but a significant decrease in the Lure stat, it’s not the best out there. What makes the King’s Rod strong though, is the increase in Control and Resilience.
If you struggle with the fishing minigame, especially when it comes to the more difficult fish to catch, these stat boosts definitely make a difference. There’s also the addition of infinite maximum KG, which means the King’s Rod can catch fish of any size, including the heaviest in the game.
Passive Ability
To tie in with the infinite max KG stat, the King’s Rod has a passive ability which increases the size of every fish you catch by 15%. If you’re trying to farm money, selling large fish is a great way to save up. It’s even better if you manage to catch a Mutated fish that’s 15% bigger, and if it’s already a large fish in general, then you’re making big bucks!
