What is coming in Delta Force Season 1? The new free-to-play large-scale multiplayer shooter is looking to take the crown of Battlefield, and with even the most cursory glance at interest after Steam Next Fest, the numbers suggest that Delta Force might be able to pull it off. Ongoing support is key to the success of a game like this, with new seasons and content drops keeping the experience fresh and engaging.

The Delta Force release date may be a bit of a mystery right now, but the Delta Force open beta is right around the corner, and that’s where many journeys will begin in earnest. The multiplayer game plans to open its doors with a bang and start its seasonal content drops simultaneously. Here’s the latest on when Delta Force Season 1 begins and what you can expect from the seasonal content.

Delta Force season 1: a roadmap showing all of the new content coming to the Delta Force game.

Delta Force Season 1 release date

Delta Force Season 1 – codename Genesis – is set to launch on December 2, 2024.  In a recent Q&A session, game director Ricky ‘Shadow’ Liao stated that Season 1 will introduce “new operators, new maps for both Warfare and Operations, as well as new mechanics, UI, gameplay elements, and weapons.”

For a soft launch, this is a lot to drop, but a good sign of things to come. The team isn’t only giving players access to new content, but also refining what is already there. A lot of the specifics of the new content are a mystery, but we can hazard some exceptionally educated guesses at what they’ll be.

Delta Force Season 1 new weapons

Three new Delta Force guns are coming with Season 1, although we only have a few silhouettes to go from.

We believe that the three new Delta Force Season 1 weapons are:

The long boxy shape of the first weapon points to a marksman rifle, and there are few of those types more iconic than the FAL. Anyone who has played Modern Warfare should be happy to see this medium-range heavy-hitter coming to the battlefield. The second weapon looks to be a modernized version of the AK, with its distinctive curved magazine and thin handguard. We believe it could be something like the AK 203, but would love to be surprised.

The last gun in this list is arguably the most difficult to pin down. It’s most definitely an MG or MMG of some sort, and with the inclusion of a suppressor and bipod as standard, we’re going to go with the SIG Sauer MG 338. Built for long-range suppressive fire, you won’t be as mobile with something like this equipped, but if you find a stationary position, nobody will be able to get near.

Delta Force Season 1 new maps

We have confirmation that new maps are coming to both Havoc Warfare and Hazard Operations in Season 1, but the details of these are shrouded in mystery.

The silhouette for the Havoc Warfare map could be an industrial-type environment, with dual smokestacks taking up the majority of the image. The Hazard Operation new map is anyone’s guess – possibly a castle, with a large turret and battlements that you can use to get height over your enemies.

Delta Force Season 1 new vehicle

The image we get for the new vehicle coming with Season 1 can only really point to one thing – something that should be very familiar to anyone who played the original Black Hawk Down – the MH-6 Little Bird.

Originally designed as a light observational helicopter, the Little Bird found many uses, especially in urban warfare, as a nimble air transport vehicle. The addition to Delta Force looks to be an attack variant, with armaments attached to either side of the main chassis.

That’s everything we know about Delta Force Season 1 and what it contains.
