Baldur’s Gate 3 has a lot of side content for you to lose yourself in over the course of this massive game. You can find yourself continuing quests from hours ago at any point, finding new quests, or simply enjoying exploring environments and finding secrets for you to partake in. One of these locations you can search for secrets is the Grymforge, which is an area in Act 1. Inside of this area you can find the Ancient Forge if you can cross a gap at the back of the main area of the Grymforge. This is where you can make some new great armor and weapons, but only with Mithral Ore. Here’s our guide for all Mithral Ore locations in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where to find all Mithral Ore locations in Baldur’s Gate 3
There are only two locations for Mithral Ore in Baldur’s Gate 3. They’re also conveniently both located within the area surrounding the device you will use to make items with the ore. Before we get into finding the Mithral Ore, let’s develop a reference point for the locations we will discuss. Let’s use the waypoint you find as you enter the Ancient Forge, with the same name, that you can see below for our starting point.

The first of the locations you can find Mithral Ore is to the right of this waypoint. You can find this location just past the enemies that will aggro when you walk too close. You’re going to want to walk past them and around on the small path until you see a rock that looks like the one in the image below, which is the Mithral Ore. Be careful here as you can also fall into the lava and perish.

The second and final of the locations for Mithral Ore is back near the waypoint and on the way to the forge itself where you will use the Mithral Ore. As you head down the stairs in front of the waypoint, if you look to the left, you should be able to see a Mithral Ore in the distance. When you jump down the stairs, head to the left and defeat the enemies that spawn as you begin to walk over there, and then destroy the Mithral Ore and claim it.
